Tabby's Mental Status

Mentally, Tabby is... odd. In NEXTWAVE canon, there was a point where a telepath tried to reach into her head and stick her into her darkest nightmare. He failed upon finding that there was nothing in her head. I've explained this by referring to Marvel's Civil War summary that says that the members of Nextwave were mentally altered by H.A.T.E. (their memories and their personalities were tweaked).
Basically, this means that Tabby's mind is a mess. To an inexperienced telepath, this would read as her mind being 'blank', that is to say, full of static and white noise. A more experienced telepath would see that her head's a jumble of her actual thoughts and memories, but there are sections that have been pasted in with the mental equivalent of scotch tape and there are ragged edged holes where memories should be and aren't. They would also find that she has several sets of triggers that cause her to respond to certain situations and actions differently that she would have otherwise.
One detail to note is that she's highly desensitized to violence and killing. She'll acknowledge that it's occurred, but she'll gloss over it in her head and not think too hard (or at all) about the consequences of injuries and/or deaths that she and her teammates may cause through their actions.
Another thing is that the mental tampering has slowly worn off over time. Much like a leash rubs down as it's used, so have the triggers and things, especially where they conflict with aspects of Tabby's personality. Because of this, Tabby's personality's landed in an area between the airhead valley girl of Nextwave and the sharp-witted street rat of X-Force.
